nutri drench in the water can help, yogurt (plain) hardboiled egg yolk. If they are stressed it is hard to bounce them back. Are they warm enough or too warm? (My only other thought) But again after what the PO put them through I am not shocked. Is it just the chicks or chicks and ducks both?
Just the chicks....ducks seem hardy as all get out and they got kicked out of the nursury to duck segregation the first morning. I have not lost any of the ducks I received, but I have them in a special duck-proof box. The chicks aren't acting too warm or not warm enough. They are in my triage box where I put all the new babies for the first day and all of the tiny, tiny guys like the bantams and seramas for special care. I haven't lost any of my hatchlings out of that box this week, most move out to main brooders in about 24 hours, but some of the bantams are the same age and have been in the same box with them the whole time.

Madam, just saw your comment on the vulture hocks. Please cull them. Vulture hocks is recessive, so if they ever breed to a quality flock, it will hide the genes and it may pop up again in the future.

Also, I've been thinking a lot about those "white" ones you have. I'm wondering if they are splash columbian pattern. It is going to be hard to tell until they feather out completely, but here is a picture of a splash columbian. You can see how close to pure white they look. This isn't the best picture, but it helps to show that only a tiny bit of blue can come through on them and they would appear to be nearly all white.

Oh, thank goodness. glad to hear it!!!!!!
I didn't worry so much abou the tracking numbers, some sent them so didn't. I assumed everyone would because it is just as fun to send one as get one. I will find it. Is anyone else still missing their box?

Ok, I am working on everyone's boxes and emails today. I have had the craziest week ever and I got totally swamped and behind. I am working my way out of it as we speak. I have about 7 boxes of vinegar going out to you wonderful chicken people!!!

On a side note, how much would you charge a week old breeding pair of Rhodebars?
I got mine!!!!!! I got some candy goodies, a scented candle, and some rooster towels! (all in a very pretty box)

I have Pilgrim Geese and a single, lonely Lavender Orp from crfarm hatching today!

ETA: The Pilgrim Geese are mine, not from crfarm. Just in case anyone was confused by that.
