I can't remember where I read this - but somewhere I read too low humidity could cause the chicks to grow too big too fast? I wish I knew where I saw that - stupid memory....

Krafty - I had

all morning for the missing doe - glad you found her!

I am having some chicks get too big to turn, but I dry hatch so it shouldn't be a humidity issue. Could low temps cause that?

Krafty - I am sorry about your bunny, but I'm very happy you found the other one.

Profti - I am sending good wishes for the chicks and poults headed your way!
Yes, dry hatching if your humidity isn't high enough naturally can cause the eggs to loose water too quickly and let the chick grow too fast and not turn. Or that is what I remember. We don't have high enough humidity here to dry hatch, I try to keep between 35-40%, but everyones humidity mileage will vary. Don't know that that IS the problem, but its worth exploring.

(ChickNmama, check your PM's) (and you too profti!)

OK, all the CLEARED! On the pay pal thread has me seeing the mods with little paddles zapping chickens that then jump up and start squawking...
