so I have several EO Maradunna basque hatched out and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of how to tell the males from the females (when they are a bit older) just wondering what I am looking for.

I hope you find the cause soon. Let me or us know what you find out. I'll wait to send more eggs.Size is a possibility. One of the last hatch did not have a discernable air cell!! The whole egg was full of gigantic chick. I had read about shipped eggs having this problem, due to a stretched membrane, but the last batch was not shipped. They also weren't mine, so they did get a car ride for three hours.
After I finish out what is in them, I'll sort it out.
it will dry up and fall off, the chick will be okToday is hatch day for the birchen marans. So far two are out and at least five more pipped. Of the two hatched, one is dragging something along after it. It looked like poo at first, but closer examination looks like an umbilical cord? What could it be and is it in trouble? Fingers crossed for more chickies to make it!

if I owe you eggs or live birds, we are putting ALL shipments the rest of this week on hold while the storm rolls across the country. No need to get boxes stuck somewhere with birds in them, or have eggs subjected to cold temps.
Quote: I am in FL, lol no snow here ever. But a lovely storm rolling across the country currently which stops me from shipping north.
