Awww TY! I think so too :O)
Also, that seller has swindled someone on another forum. Please be careful.

I think I am fixing to get taken for a ride myself. Not from that seller, but another one. If so I will be done with RBA.
I also made a purchase on RBA that I'm unsure of. Chicks should ship the last week of April. I am not completely trusting it because now they have no more birds listed. There was the listing that I won and another exactly like it the week after. I did look at the seller's website, but their feedback was all for purchases and not for sales. I don't remember offhand who it is and I can't access it at work, but I'm hoping it goes well.

Good morning everyone!!!

Well I have to say it is torture to have to come to work today and sit in a windowless room with the white noise of the HVAC system and fluorescent lighting. I want to move my desk outside…preferably within sight of our new peeps with their adorable protective Mommas. I am missing another day of their development! (and they grow up so darn fast!!! They are already zipping around, like they hadn’t just learned how to use their legs.)

It is supposed to be 90 today and it was sleeting less than a week ago (on Friday.) Tomorrow a cold front is coming through and will take us (hopefully) to normal temperatures for the season.

I am hoping we will have the new coop done this weekend!!! Actually, I was hoping last weekend, but that was a bit unrealistic, I found out. Just too many little things to do. (what do they need a door for, anyway?…or lids for the hen boxes? Or windows? Or roosts? Sheesh…chickens are picky!)

We made the outside mostly out of pressure treated plywood so we can’t paint it for some time (paint will just flake off because the wood is so wet) but the inside roosts and poop trays are regular pine, so I am toying with the idea of painting those some glossy color, which will push our timeline out even further. But if I have designed this thing right, most of what they will be able to get to to poop on will be covered in a layer of Sweet PDZ for easy clean-up. We will soon find out how good I am. I was thinking about taking some of the tin roof flashing and making removable covers for the 2x4 roosts that I can hose off occasionally. Would that cause their feet to get cold in the winter, though?

Not hatch, but raise with. The day the chicks hatch ill buy buy my gosling.
I hear certain breeds make good companions and are quite protective. I'm a single female in a cabin in the woods so that kind if thing appeals to me.
Geese (domestic) protect nothing but themselves. They are 98% bluff, and dont guard/protect property or other birds. They also NEED to be with another goose. I dont care what anyone says about having only one, go buy it a goose friend and see just what your goose was missing by being alone. They are highly social, highly intelligent, problem solvers and dont forage like ducks and chicks, they graze like horses.

Good Morning everyone!! Got a blessing yesterday!! (well... get them everyday but, a special one yesterday) went to buy some veggie plants at our local greenhouse last night after work and they had huge palate shelving (I'm sure for shipping plants) for free!!! We looked and they make perfect brooders!!! Got two last night and send Steve to get two more this morning. We have build a new brooder every night this week and most of last week. It's getting really busy around here. On another note... I have 2 empty trays in my incubator- I candled last night and checked on all the eggs and I was shocked to have 2 empty spaces. Hmm.. Mrheinz eggs going in tonight and Madamwlf going in probably Saturday and some space fillers from my flock- that should fill them up till Sunday when Turkeys go in to lockdown- don't really know what I am going to do if all 24 bourbon turkeys actually hatch but, so far they are all on schedule and growing perfectly. I had a great hatch of BLRW from Papa that just finished in the hatcher yesterday. That will be very good since my BLRW hen is still broody!!! I keep putting 18-19 day old eggs under her and so far no luck and her big butt is still broody. That makes one BLRW, One Chocolate orp (luckily the other one either didn't really go broody or snapped out of it quickly), another Coronation Sussex, and a Silver Penciled Rock. So far... I have never had a Swedish flower, gold laced brahma, lavender orp, or easter egger go broody.

So, last night was my 19th day for my bobwhites in incubator. I quit turning them. What is the best humidity for them? It's my first hatch and I have made some mistakes. Waiting to see if I'm a poor hatcher.
Bobwhite take 24-25 days, so sit tight.

Okay so I'm head to toe in cake and fondant and can't really get to my laptop BUT if I owe you bourbon eggs and you're ready I have two lots of four I can ship today or tomorrow. I MAY be able to do three depending on the girls. Just pm me.

Here I am at home waiting for the AC guy to show up. Love those 4 hour windows. And it's 78 degrees in my house right now. Chicks are loving it.
