Wait. . . Isn't it nice that he asked to give them food and water? I mean no its not legal but it personally I would tell him thank you for caring enough to ask. He prolly doesn't know anything about chickens and was trying to be as helpful as he could at that particular time. As someone who worked in a post office we catch a lot of flack for things that aren't our fault and sometimes for even trying to be helpful which is perhaps the worst thing.
It's not one person who delivers your mail it's a network. Networks sometimes get complicated and require time to fix. so Things aren't as simple as guy A has your package it's group of guys A in sub group Y on the red line have your package and we have to figure out which one before they all get off work.
I have heard they will lay up to 100 eggs or so as long as you keep taking them from the nest....mine have been laying since the end of january, and still going at it.I have 3 Royal Palm turkey poults hatched and the 4th is pipped!

lol...turkeys roost anywhere they take a mind to, unless you run them into the coop at night.
well, except the broad breasted kind, but those aren't for keeping, they re for eating...
the feed store generally sells only the broad breasted variety, and they get so large they have health issues, they are supposed to be for eating....you need to swap for some heritage birds, if you plan on keeping them
Thanks! I think I'll swap for a few more weeks and then leave them for a while to see if they will hatch some for me.I have heard they will lay up to 100 eggs or so as long as you keep taking them from the nest....mine have been laying since the end of january, and still going at it.
