Mine are bantams. I have my quad in a coop and run that is 8 X 12, I think. It is my smallest run. They are not the slightest bit flighty. They eat out of my hand and run around between my legs whenever I have them outside. They do love to get out and forage, but only get out about once or twice a week right now due to dark hitting before I get home. I wouldn't keep them in a cage but as long as they have some room to scratch and a couple of levels to roost on... No problem.I'm trying to experience a wide variety of breeds so I know which are most compatible with our environment and their living quarters and stuff. I think the Sicilian Buttercups are SO PRETTY...wanted them until I read that they are "intolerant of confinement", active, flighty and non-docile I guess I shouldn't try those - doesn't sound like they'd be happy in an urban run/coop set-up. Then again, I have NJs and the same site says the same about those and ours are perfectly happy (so far) where they are. =/ I dunno. lol
