And if all goes as I plan your eggs will ship Sat. Lets see how the hens behave. I just shipped herducks yesterday and then I am caught up. I learned the hard way last year...promised out eggs and the stinking rooster dropped dead.

Now I keep a backup rooster.

Looking forward to the eggs. I told my husband I swapped for them for my birthday so he couldn't get too upset with me!

I keep WAY too many backup roosters at the moment.

And now that I opened my BIG mouth...I got one egg yesterday.

So that means that everyone should lay today...right ! ? !

At least that is how "I" see it. I will keep you posted.

Just a reminder, please make sure you are sending eggs that are clean or close to be clean. I refuse to set eggs in my incubator that are dirty especially dirty with poop. If I have to throw out eggs because they are too dirty to set then I feel like I'm not getting what I swapped for. That's just my opinion but I will not ruin my nice incubator for some dirty eggs.

The poop has to be wiped of with a dry towel or something...if you wash the egg, you wipe off the bloom. That lets in bacteria and you get stinker, blood rings or early quitters.

I understand that but a dry towel doesn't always wipe it off. And I won't risk my incubator with a dirty egg. I have eggs on my counter now that no dry towel will get clean. I'll crack them to check fertility then cook them up for the dog. Not worth it to me.
