Well, its Christmas Eve, Hope everyone takes time to reflect on what the season is truly about....I know many of us have lost loved ones, many of us have health issues, many of us have money issues, many have children and grandchildren that we will never cease worrying about and a myriad of other things we deal with day to day. However, nothing can compare to the sacrifice of the one who's birth we will celebrate tomorrow. Enjoy the family gatherings, enjoy the gifts, enjoy the delight on the faces of the blessed children, enjoy the chicks that will hatch tomorrow...... But at some point in the day, please take time to close your eyes and say, "Happy Birthday Jesus" and say a heartfelt prayer of thanksgiving for all of what we have and the sacrifice He made for all things to be possible.

I know many of you live in warmer climates, but I just saw our weather update and we are directly in the path of ICE and SNOW - best guesstimate 12 inches.

Just moved chicks from house to barn yesterday, have 50+ chicks in the basement, 84 eggs in the incubator and 12 inches of snow on the way...... No way we will escape electric outages. Need to make contingency plan...
