Thanks Jeannie. I'm going to see if I can find it at wilco and if not have it super speedy shipped. I just hope they make it until then :/

Definitely use the Tylan if you can find it until you can get Denagard. And there is no reason why you shouldn't hear back from Jenny. She was in an email answering frenzy yesterday. I got quite a few emails answered.

On that Denagard, I have found the liquid. What is the dosage to be used? Like how much per gallon of water?

nvm you just answered it above!

The Tylan liquid does say "For use in Cattle and Swine". Its used "off book" and you wont find specific Tylan for Chickens. I used this (injected in breast) last May/early June (don't remember exact dates) when mine decided to stand in the rain for 3 days instead of going in or under the coop to stay dry. I started to notice a difference at the beginning of the 3rd day. Here's a link that might help. https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/medicine-chart Keep your chin up!

I have the powder that goes in the water. A pain to mix but works great too.

Actually the powder version is rated for poultry and has the dosage on the label.

Poor little guy!! I understand how you feel. We are in SC and have the fire ants in our yard and they are nasty. So easy to step on a mound and not know it and they boil out and are on you in seconds. It takes a long time for those blisters to stop itching and go away. One cure we were told about and have used is Hemorrhoid Paste on them. It seems to stop the itching quicker. I would love to use a really harsh chemical to kill them all, but can't do it because of our drinking water well, chickens, ducks, dogs and people that would be exposed and harmed. Darn those ANTS!!!!

My hubby used something called amdro it is not like a poison really. It stop them from digesting the food or something like that.

Amdro  is awesome. We have used it for years. It is a granule that you sprinkle around the mounds. The ants think it is food, feed it to the queen, and they all die! Yeah!

Great, didn't know that the powder was specific for them. When my ladies were sick I searched high and low for the injectable Tylan as I read it worked quicker but couldn't find a poultry one until I read that it was "off label". It did work very well. Fingers crossed that they get well!
