thanks! she is too cute. after I took her pics I reached for her to put her back and she ran up to my hand. I HOPE she is a she!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 10pm and I can't stay awake any longer, which frustrates me. In any case...I never said I wasn't certifiably insane. So, I'm going to go to bed, set the alarm for midnight, wake up and turn the PC back on...and hopefully there will be some eggers on the swap thread I would like to have so I can say "mine". I haven't said "mine" for almost 20 years and the last time I said it I ended up with a torn ACL, ICL and meniscus in a volleyball tourney. SO....it can only get better.

Soooo...looks like I might do the NYDH afterall... DH gave me the ok to have them in the basement for a bit and then the garage... hehehe... I might be able to collect enough of my own eggs to have a decent hatch... most likely I'll just have EE's, I have my RSL's in with my Amer roos, they're the only ones that are laying right now

The weather has been pretty mild, so I thought I might be able to get away with some shipped eggs, but if not, no biggie=)

THANK YOU to my secret Santa!!! Got my package yesterday but didn't open it till this morning cuzz I got home late from work and went to bed.. Holy cow, that box was stuffed with stuff my kids will like, I LOVE already and that I can use in the future, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

DM!!!!!! My SBEL pullet from you that a friend hatched is laying!!!!!

I thought it was a different hen at first, so she's actually been laying for almost 2 weeks, but I caught her in the nest box this morning when I was feeding and right after she laid the egg!! It is a medium-sized green/blue egg, today's looks bluer than yesterdays, and getting bigger everyday
