Maybe she hit it on something. I would think if it was from a peck it would bleed. I don't know of any illnesses that would cause that.

As much as I want them, I love my Choc Orps. I just hope one of you will be generous enough to offer eggs at some point.

I am bidding on the Isbar eggs they have on ebay, since of course I was outbid on RBA. But then again, I am still not going to go that high. My conscience won't let me.

Yup, quite excited about getting some roaches. I'm getting them at a good price.

I had a really good colony of Dubias for my beardie in CA before I moved to AZ I wish I had them now!

Are roaches easy to raise? and easy to keep contained?

I've had no problems with them escaping. I have them in a rubbermaid container. You can put packing tape around the inside top. It's a smooth slipper surface they can't grip. I find them way easier then mealworms and crickets. Keep them in a warm spot, give them food and water and they do the rest. No smell either. Clean the bin when it needs it and you have instant protein treats.
