Hi Everyone,

My name is La Sonya and I just joined this backyard chicken on December 8th of 2012. I just came across this rare auctions as I was looking for the breese. I didn't know about your thread until after the auction as I was attempting to find someone who sold after I lost the bid. I recognized the username as reading threads when did a search for breese decided to ask if would be breeding. I have only done eBay so sorry I wasn't familiar with rules. I am not a stalker just a new farmer trying to obtain birds to raise that not everyone has on their farm. So I am sorry if offended because it wasn't my intention.

Welcome. Thanks for having the guts to come in and say hi. We chicken folks can all be a bit obsessive about our chickens.

No worries at all and I hope that you find your breese soon! There are quite a few folks on here that have them so they will become easier to find in the next few months. If you want to get all crazy, join the swap thread and try to capture some hatching eggs in spring.

what will I get if I have a lemon cuckoo roo over lav hens?

I meant to message you this. I picked up my LC orp eggs from a breeder near me who had her LCs and lavs free ranging together. She hatched a few and grew them out and showed them tome. The color just looked messy. not sure if there is a way to make it look cool as it sure seems like it would be a good color combo... but they kind of just looked dirty. They were first generation, so maybe mating them together would produce something cool. I still don't get genetics at all so I don't how to really tell you what they would look like... ha ha. did you find that genetics book for dummies yet? I need to start reading!!

Hi lluther -- for myself I will say thank you for the stop-in and the explanation. It was a little disconcerting -- not that there's really any such thing as privacy on the internet, but it's the sort of thing that makes one wonder. You are definitely on the right site -- we're pretty passionate about chickens around here

If you do, please share! I've got five books out from the library at the moment, the breeding chapters of which all pretty much add up to "Breed for good conformation." Yeah. Thanks. Real helpful!

I want Foley SLW please! I tried for months in 2012 and was never able to get any from them. I will wait until spring and understand things happen. Might have to get some Foley BLRW from you, too. Don't know when I'll be able to play tomorrow though, so save some for me!

Good morning guys! Anyone have plans for tonight? I have none. Zip. It will be alone with the kids. I really try not to drink much anymore, since I tend to go way overboard, too frequently... But all I can think of is how much fun it would be to have a sitter tonight an find a party to go to! Those who have places to go, and beverages to consume, have a ton of fun, but be careful!! No need to start the new year in trouble!
