Ugh. The incubator toll was calculated. Four shipments of eggs, so $64 lost for them. Plus my own eggs. Some of the chicks from my own eggs had interested buyers too. Add to that the cost of replacement and it just rubs a LoT of salt into the wounds.
Scratch that, two sets were gifts! Ugh, now I feel even worse for killing gift eggs!!!

What kind of eggs are you looking for?

Thanks for the reply! I think what they're doing is offering me their extra hatched chicks from today to go with a previous order I had to ship out tomorrow.
5 rhodebar pullets, 5 rhodebar cockerels, 3 Isbars, 1 Birchen Marans, 1 Red Orp, and 1 Black Barthuner.
They are very nicely discounted and I'm looking to share with my BYC friends if possible. PM me if interested.

How does it work? Can you connect it into a cabinet incubator that was run with wafers? George will be doing it, I can't wrap my mind around even wiring the wafers, lol.

YEAP! Go look in my siggy at my incubators. The MEGA Bator uses one and so does the hatcher. I bought EXTRAS cuz I could not afford to be without one if one should fail. The link I posted is in the states.... that was a first. I ordered mine from China I think... took a long time to get here but WORTH THE WAIT! Make sure you get the one for a reg us outlet. Not the European and not the 220v . My son did all the wiring I couldn't ... well wouldn't want to figure it out. He LOVES that kinda stuff so I let him have at it. WORKS GREAT! I do not have an exhaust fan hooked up YET. It is on my list of things to add to my bator.

Hatching baskets..... Let me preface this with the size of my hatcher. Someone was going to throw this out with other stuff I saved. I got a plywood box about 2ft tall, 3ft long and 2ft wide. So a good size hatcher. I needed a way to keep the breeds separated too. This was NOT my idea.... I got it from another byc'er... the smartest people in the WORLD

Have some that are divided in to 4 sections, some 3 sections but most are divided in half or full sized. I can get 4 baskets on each level and can stack them 3 tall in the hatcher. I have hatched 120 chicks at one time with these baskets

not going to do that AGAIN

I got these at one of the dollar type stores

Put some shelf liner (also from the dollar store) to prevent chicks from slipping on the plastic.

I also got some cookie cooling racks at the dollar store, 2 were in a pack. They fit the top perfect to keep the chicks from jumping out. I attached them with handy dandy zip ties.

Here they are in action and some with the dividers in them. I just attached them with old Telephone wire.

BTW I hatch in stryrofoam egg cartons all the time now, unless there is one with a weird air cell.
