Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

I have come to a decision. After I fulfill all my White Orpington swaps come Spring, and am going to part with them. I love color. The only white I will have will be Bresse if I have any luck with eggs, as I would like them for meat birds.

If anyone has any interest in my flock please PM me.

Also, I have an ecoglow 50 brooder that has been taken out of the box, but that is it. If anyone has any interest in that, please PM me.

I just made confirmation that the incubator fried the marans and silkies. :/ Of course, it's back to running perfectly now. Since we're moving soon, I'm thinking that we shouldn't hatch anything until we move. I have people interested in eggs up to the point that we move, but still. It feels strange to have an empty bator. Especially with turkey eggs being collected on a regular basis and the blue laying hens have really picked up.

Sell the eggs and get a new incubator!

Just pulled the silkie blanks from the incubator, I am soooo tempted to put in the first few CCL eggs my girls laid this week.

I mean what harm could it cause

Geez I've got to get my butt over to the incubators anonymous thread...... then again after reading some of the posts over there they need to change the title to the "incubators enabler thread"

Anyone else try to test hatch their pullets first few eggs?

I needed them..... really! (They hatched just fine BTW) insert whistling smiley here

That's what I'm hoping to do. We're replacing the wafers with electronic. I have someone wanting eggs for a classroom hatching project in two weeks. I'm excited for them.

Well, my first week at my new job went OK. Still clear as mud, but I think I am gonna like it. Sure like being here with DH in the evenings instead of rushing off to go work at night. I am gonna go read a book too, It sure is nice not feeling like a zombie all the time.

just had a very bad night. Had to put my 27 year old mare down. I had her for 16 of those years and she gave me 7 babies (only one was a filly that we still have). She was a fighter till the end but when she could no longer get up, it was time.

i'm so sorry, been close to it with my mare, almost had surgery but then she came out of it. if you need someone to talk to i'm here for ya! I've had my mare for 19 years, she is my baby I know yours was too. seriously, if you need to talk or anything, please feel free to contact me. again, so sorry for your loads, she is galloping in green grass!
