Did I manage to kill this thread today?

I just got back home. I had to into town to get chick sized legbands, those spiral bracelet keychains and bedding pellets - the pellets were on sale, so I'm gonna try 'em. I also needed oyster shell, but they were out.

Well, never got above 12 degrees here today but theres a lotta places that is a lot colder than that so not gonna complain too much

I candled some eggs today and had one gross one. The incubator didn't smell at all, but when I tried to pick up the egg it had stuck to the turner. It was yucky. I managed to get it out without breaking it, and I cleaned up the gummy goo on the turner. Blech. I think that batch may have gotten too cold, it's the second one from that package that got weepy.

Finally found my camera charger. Be prepared for an overdose of pictures of chickens huddled up from the freezing cold temps!

Does anyone have a chicken that they just can't get a picture of? I have a frizzle black cochi who is this way for me. Today I finally got two pictures of her but they still aren't great. She is just so pretty and fluffy that I wish I could capture it.

The cold wouldn't be so bad but the wind just makes it unbearable.
