Wow, over 500 posts in a few days. Never gonna catch up. If anyone has white silkies that is interested in a side swap, please let me know. I lost mine hen to a predator and need to hatch up some pullets for my white silkie and my white sizzle project. Please PM me. Thanks!!!

I had two others just like her from the same breeder, but they both got killed by a coon, so she's my pride and joy.

I am so excited. My dad flew down from Vermont today, he is staying at my grandparents tonight, then coming out to spend the day here. He always makes these super quick trips (he has a work conference on Thursday) but it will be sooo nice to see him. I really miss my family up in Vermont. Just can't convince my husband to move up there.

I hate making those kinds of decisions. I have 2 Basque cockerels and 3 bantam Cochin cockerels that have to either be re-homed or sent to freezer camp. It's very difficult here to re-home cockerels.

I had 2 that almost went to freezer camp. Instead they opted for some where tropical around 350 degrees

did some bird shuffling between stalls and kicked the juvenile ducklings outside to houses this afternoon.

we are cold for here, but nothing like what so many of you are dealing with.

had to suspend all shipments out again with this cold front. No lives going out anytime soon.

Anyone due eggs who wants a delayed shipping please PM me so we can plan ahead and alter the outgoing list for you. Dont want eggs freezing in transit.

Anyone want to make an attempt at sexing some seramas? I have one definite roo, one that I'm thinking might be a roo, and the rest might be hennies?! I can't believe it though, how is it possible to get 7 serama eggs shipped and hatch out exactly 7, AND have only two roos?! The one is obvious though, and the other is just pinky, so maybe the other roos will show up eventually?

I posted them there. I didn't want to overload this thread with pictures, but you can take a gander (if you don't mind) and post here, lol. I'll have to go back and see when they hatched. I believe December 20th, so right about four and a half weeks.

now gotta go out in the cold and throw hay, lock up coops and cover juvenile pens up for insulation!
