I am pretty sure a non barred roo over a barred hen like a delaware makes sex links, barred cockerals and non barred pullets, so he looks just like he should.
Okay... does this chick look like it could be cuckoo?? (Yes, he is on my kitchen counter, it was lysol'd afterwards, lol)
He hatched from a Delaware egg covered by my French Blue Copper Marans roo... so how would that happen?? If it is cuckoo, does that mean my roo's genes are messed up? I was hoping to get some good meat birds by crossing them... my roo has a nice broad chest and the Delaware hens are big hens and have been good layers...

Can anyone take a guess as to the color/variety of these Cochins? One looks barred maybe, but I just dunno. All I do know is they look nothing like black cochin chicks that I have hatched.
