I usually try to get mine to 90% which is what Keven Porter recommends. I mist mine with warm water, inside the incubator and all, doesnt seem to hurt anything and I have great hatch rates. makes the humidity go up in a hury

Thanks. I just didn't want to open the bator. I'm going to go figure something out!

Yup autocorrect is a pain in the rear sometimes. It is amazing what it can decide to substitute for you. Some are really awful and then others like these wonky-celled hicks are great! :D

Woohoo!!!

I have to say I'm a touch nervous. The bator is at 98.7 and no pips. I haven't been able to get the humidity over 70% even added sponges through holes in the back of the cabinet.

any suggestions?
I forgot to tell you.....my poults seem to pip a bit later than I calculate. About 12-18 hours later, so always it seems a day later than I plan (though it feels like a year). Also, I read that with turkeys, you need to add 1-2 hours extra hatch time for every day they were held. Has anyone else heard that? The extra humidity does tend to make a big difference. Are they wiggling?

mine also pip later than I expect. The higher humidity helps them get out easier, turkey egg shells are very hard and the membrane is really tough
