I got a variety of eggs at the stockton show and they hatched this weekend. They went to a friends house into her brinsea, so no pictures yet, but its going to be a LOT of chicks! excited! If only the barndevilers had been more fertile...
Wellies, barnies, Silkies, Cream legbars, Silver leghorns, Olive Eggers, it should be quite the colorfest!

Mine on the Silver Leghorns! I NEED a LF white egg layer. I only have my Bantam Buttercups.

I am pretty bummed. My little black and yellow SFH died. She wasn't eating or drinking, so I isolated her from the others and gave her water via a little dropper. I just put the little drop on the end and she took the water. As she was drinking she began blowing like little air bubbles. About 5 minutes later, she just seized up, shock a little and died. Any thoughts?

I have no ideas, but I'm very sorry.

Pysankigirl-you need some of my Mille Fleur Leghorns! They are gorgeous birds, and they lay a nice big cream-colored egg! My first girl started laying on Thursday, and I have gotten 5 eggs from her already. The second girl started on Saturday and has given me 3 eggs now. I couldn't stand waiting, so I cracked one open-it is definitely fertile!
