My guess is that you'd get autosexing OE's.
I was wondering

I think that is a bad partnership for USPS. With all the chick/bird shipments you would think they would have their own division to handle that. Might make a bit of the money they owe.once in fedex's hands they drop off the radar. There were storms which delayed some flights and backed up cargo out of memphis

can you get those crossing the CCL and Rhodes also? I would guess yes since both are autosexing
I would imagine so, but it helps that the Golden Cuckoo and CCLs are supposed to be the cream color and autosexing. The CCL/Rhodebar would most likely be autosexing, but the color variation would be a lot greater and make it a little bit more difficult to distinguish male/female.

Sorry about all the losses, but I hope the new birds arrive safe and sound!

if you want to be more positive about it, I always ask questions that let them know I am trying to find the problem. " what thermometer are you useing ( if it does not do .1 it wont tell you if you are a full degree off usually) ? did it go up or down more then 2 degrees? did you check in more then one place in teh incubator? did you calibrate the incubator? what humidity did you hatch at/ lockdown at?" If I can find what did the eggs in, they usualy a/ are grateful for the help b/ get that it isn't the eggs. Some peopel are not worth it, however.member just contacted me from eBay about the eggs not hatching.
She bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/130633787593 to incubate in and is a total newbie at it and of course is now complaining.![]()
You sound happy today! Huzzah!I hope everyone cheers up and has a good day. I feel like that a lot during the winter, but we are finally showing signs of SPRING here! It has been in the 40s and up for the last few days, and is warm and sunny! Winter makes me depressed.![]()
We had a house once that teh peopel had left thier old rooster out . WHILE SELING THE HOUSE! he would sit in the sun in the front, obviously had scaly leg mites. Supposedly he was being "picked up any ay now" by a friend. When he was still ther ein a week ( i drove 2 counties to check) I called teh humane socity and they got cited. only a fine, but its somethign to remind them they are evil people.Sadly that happens alot here with chickens and dogs
Yes, the gelding will cow kick if you get close to him. He will also try to come at you with his mouth open.
Sandhill makes GFF look chatty. they too are a preservation farm with incubator problems and a phobia of email. But, like gff nice people if you can be paaaaaitent.try Sandhill Poultry
I bet this is a reasonable reason to get the interview shifted, I bet they will do it! I'm so glad you got in, I have been thinking good thoughts for you about Mayo.I'm so sorry. I think we all feel that way sometimes. Sorry about the P. Bart also.
On a personal note, looks like we are headed to the Mayo clinic next week. We will head out on the afternoon of the 9th. Andy has testing and doctor's consults on the 10th and 11th, and then we make the mad dash back down. 23+ hours of driving in 4 days separated by two days in a hospital = YUCK!
I'm sad for him that it had to be during the day he was supposed to fly out for his personal interview with CA Technology, but the doctors there said it was better not to wait until the next opening of the 22nd.
Keep good thoughts for us, and thanks for all the support.
<hugs> I'm holing out good thoughts for you and your chicks, hope they are doing Ok. I'm SOO sorry you are going through this!Hi ALL!
I am absolutely beside mysefl!!! I have been at the airport TWICE to pick up birds that have not been on the plane. Now I am missing THREE boxes. 2 boxes from Reese and 1 box from COF. I am just freaked out! Now they are saying the *might* be in Tennessee because of ice. Ice where??? We don't have any ice and we are the coldest place in the country. I am absolutely heartborken!!! I just don't even know how to help or what to do. This is a total of over 75 birds that have gotten on a plane from two different part of the country that are missing!!!!![]()
On a separate, and very annoying note, a huge hatch of love bugs occurred today on my porch. Literally, none yesterday, 100s today.
For those of you lucky enough to not know of lovebugs... They are a completely useless and annoying soft bodied black bug that hatches in the spring. They have no purpose, animals, birds an my chickens do not eat them, they hatch in huge hoards, and they have an acid in their bodies that will literally eat the top coat paint off your car if left to dry. If you have to drive anywhere after a big hatch, your windshield will become so coated in them its hard to see, and they are hard to get off.
Yuck.
