Does anyone have Bantam Chocolate Wyandotte's chicks closer to Missouri than Minnesota for a customer who really wants to get into the breed? She is really interested in developing them. Please let me know.

Enough about other people chicks: Do you have yours????? Did they make it???????????

So I just had to share. I received an almost adult boy from Alisar today and I LOVE him!!!

He's got really lovely stature and is a very nice size. He's next door to the ladies in quarantine and could hear them. He wasn't even out of the box yet and was calling to them and letting them know he had treats. So I let him out and he's a little shy at first but as soon as I directed him to his food and water he started cooing and chatting. Then as I was putting in some final touches he started wing dancing at my feet!!!!

He's supremely lovely!

I could never quite figure out what it means when they do the wing dance for us, just always assume it's like a cat purring

I've never had one do that to me. Mine all consider me the top roo and move away while chattering that they are not going to take my hens (except my EE roo that I have to have a come to Jesus meeting with about once every two months when he challenges me). LOL

I guess in our flock the hen rules the roost cause everyone of our roosters will at some point try to flirt with me. They also don't mess with me. I'm the crazy hen that throws things, but also kills the predators for them. I'm also the only hen that knows where the feed is kept and how to turn on the water.

He should be super gorgeous in a few months. I feel like he has a large frame, just not mature yet. He likes to eat though, a lot, yikes! I've never seen him dance before though.
