Here, here! I was thrilled when my youngest started school, and I went back to work part-time. I got to work around people who could talk in complete sentences, who picked up after themselves, and didn't whine about what they had for lunch. It was awesome!

Well, I guess the people I worked with could form complete sentences anyways, or at least most could. LOL! And that was the office job I had! My personal care job was awesome until the office started falling apart. They'd get cancellations and never tell me, often 2/3 jobs for the day would be cancelled and they'd never bother to tell me! The last straw was when I sprained my ankle. I had a 12 hour shift the next day... I called them a good 18 hours before my shift and said I'd give it my best, but please have someone on backup just in case it became too much for me. I called when it got to be too much and asked if they could send a replacement. They said I needed to have an appointment to leave. I made an appt for 2 hours later and told the office. An hour and a half later they said they couldn't get ahold of anyone. It finally got to the point that I was in tears from pain and wasn't in any shape to be working for a client. I called back and said "please get the backup from the office here within half an hour, because that's how much time you have before I leave". She finally came, I got xrays and crutches and the company coordinator came to watch me open the heavy doors and go up/down the steps in crutches.... DESPITE having my ER note, a black and purple ankle twice the size of normal...

I have been a SAH for almost 5 years now. Talk about going to have a hard time getting back into the work force. It's going to be 2 more years, when my youngest starts prek... I miss working in a kitchen sooooo much. However, it is more important to me to spend these years with my boys, I won't ever get them back and I want to treasure them. That is exactly what I will tell any future employers.
With the chef salaries in this area., I would ony be bringing like $100 a week home... So not worth it.

So true. Many places don't treat you very well either. They think that everyone is replaceable in this economy, so if you leave, no skin off their tushes, except they complain because most people don't do a very good job

I contacted them they sold it but haven't removed the listing :/
i also called on the cooler bator but they are out of town until Sunday. I'm not sure if I'm confident enough to operate it. They say it isn't theirs they just want to sell it and have no idea how it works :/
Here is one for you: http://fairbanks.craigslist.org/grd/3638798714.html

They have some more expensive ones, but they also have several styrofoam incubators for $20.   I am not an enabler..........

I have been seriously stressed about what I am going to do about a car. I definitely couldn't afford the 7k to fix it.

:celebrate   Glad they made it! Hope they are all well!
Turn around and resell it as "almost new" and buy a bigger one. You could always check Craigslist.

A three-egg incubator (IMO) is a waste of money and time.   If you get eggs shipped all the way to Alaska, and only have room for 3 or 4 eggs, there is a huge chance that you will not get any chicks. A Little Giant is only around $35-$45, and it will hold about 40 chicken eggs. I have 25 duck and goose eggs (only 3 are ducks), which are HUGE in mine and still have room for a few more. It is a little tricky to figure out, but I have gotten pretty good hatches with mine.

Actually a little giant up here at my feed store is nearly 100$ :/ with nothing fancy and at the time I hadn't read anything particularly good about them :/

I'd order one in. The LG's are a special breed. My first one sucked. Found out that if you ignore the whole "you have to keep still airs at 101F" that they actually work quite nicely. Keep them like any other bator, at 99.5F, and you shouldn't have a problem.
