So I have a dilemma and want to see what you guys say. I had someone contact me about some of my chicks and after much chatting back and forth, she wanted to order some SFH chicks with my order from GFF this week. I said no problem and ordered and paid for them myself. She is suppose to pay for them when she picks them up. This is the same person I was suppose to get a pair of blue D'anvers from. I found out from her that she has this respiratory issue that pops up every once in a while that she treats with antibiotics.

I declined to take the d'anvers due to this and now, I really don't want to give her the SFH chicks either. Am I wrong here????
No, I don't think your wrong. Maybe I am in the minority but I wouldn't send her anything myself. If she has a recurring problem then she needs to find out what it is. Birds do not just get sick over and over for no real reason. They do get sick, just not like that. Gosh, I hope that does not sound too uppity...
Let me edit to say:
She could later think poorly of you when the chicks die. Why waste your money until you know exactly what your dealing with. If you want Nice healthy birds, take action to clear up the problem you have now before adding to that issue by getting new stock.

If you are uncomfortable about selling her the birds, that you paid for, then don't....I wouldn't!

Personally, I wouldn't get birds from her, but if she wants to buy birds from you, I don't see the problem. Maybe try to inform her of what a reoccurring respitory problem could mean, so she is aware and may take care of it. If you don't sell to her, she is still going to get birds :idunno
I agree that at least she was honest with you about it, before you got the pair from her. That means she is respectful enough to be ready for scorn.

I'm seriously thinking on the lines of sending healthy birds to someone who has grasped the idea that birds should not get sick that darn often with the same issue. Frankly I could careless about people's feelings when it comes to animals. An animal just can't get up and leave a bad situation. If you have a sickness constantly popping up, it's not right to bring chicks into that. You need to get a handle on what is going on. She had 2 birds die just a week ago. I think I'll keep the SFH chicks. It's only 5 anyway.

I did tell her about respiratory problems and that's when she stopped emailing. These weren't my chicks anyway, these were coming from GFF. And to be honest I won't sell someone chicks if I know they are having health issues in their current birds. I put too much love and care into my chickies to send them off like that.
