Just a thought...
There is enough of everyone on this thread that should have every breed/color that one could want. I would like to make a suggestion that we all should consider contacting one another and help each other out. Swapping, selling,buying, etc. So things like that above do not keep happening. Kinda like the "buy local" idea. A lot of us are not local to each other, but I think we know each other pretty well, in terms of chicken....don't ya think?

I like this idea. Honestly, I haven't ventured off this thread for chickens yet, but I will definitely poll y'all before I look elsewhere once my place is up and running. Even with swaps outstanding, I trust this group of people (DH thinks I am naive, but he hasn't been obsessively following this thread and group of people since August).

I am getting so excited to see how my birds turn out really excited for the bresse. My eating eggs are starting to sell via word of mouth, and that is exciting to me. Loving this world.

I love this idea. Esp after none of my 12 GCM hatched they were all bad..... The was the first set of eggs in a long time I had bought from someone that was not on my list of "Awesomesauce" breeders/shippers.

Ummm... I got 2 sets from the above "not named " person. 1st set I have one chick. Last set none even made it to lockdown.

I'll do my best to hook you up when the girls decide to get busy. Nelson needs friends...

I am so proud of myself...
I made a new recipe!  Savory dinner pancakes from carrot pulp with parmesan and garlic.  And they were yummy!  and the husband got me a plug in keyboard...

I know I am fairly new to the thread, but I think it is a great idea.

I am trying very hard to build up quality flocks of chickens. I live in the middle of nowhere and am very thankful to be able to get really nice quality chickens via eggs through this site.

I know at this point in my flock, I can't always offer great variety on what I can swap? But I am slowly and gradually adding more variety to my chickens.

So far most of stock has been supplied by people in this thread and I hope to continue the trend!

Somewhere in the deep recesses of my brain... (that is scary) I think you are on my list for lav ams. If the mean broody hen hurries up and hatches some chicks, I will have better luck getting eggs to send out for swaps. If not, I will keep collecting the one she leaves me and hatch some out for you. She is the meanest broody hen I have ever had.
