Ugh. People are downright ridiculous. We bought a used mower, "still under warranty, less than 2 years old". Second time mowing, it broke. It's not under warranty. It has a purchase date of 2004... So, after $950 to the jackhat we bought it from, we have to pay $108 just to have a guy freaking look at it, then repair. I don't care HOW desperate you are for money, that's just downright ridiculous.

awww....I want the last pic to be jubies

lol

the ones they were offering were, reds, jubes, partridge and gold laced....
You rarely get all that is pictured on the auctions from GFF - unless is a specific color on the auction- and they you get it if you are lucky. But, still, you have an awesome assortment of chicks! Congrats~

My hubby is always buying used and then when all is said and done it ends up costing more than a brand new one. He bought a backhoe tractor because he thought he was going to dig our basement and save money. It had so many things wrong with it he ended up donating it to the local tech school for their diesel repair class. Then he bought a 1954 ford tractor that ended up being mostly overhauled. Now the hydrolic motor went. That's the last thing to be repaired. He could have bought a new tractor cheaper. I'm not one to do things like that. I prefer to have things fully checked out and pass inspection, but my hubby believes everyone is good and honest. I wish, but too many aren't.

Get this... the tractor IS under warranty. It WAS purchased in 2011. Sears is the one screwing us over. Well, they aren't going to have a good week if they think that they're going to lie and cheat us out of money. G is too much of a pushover... I'm not.

Who is trying to tell you it was bought in 2004? There should be a DOM or date of manufacture on the bottom of the seat bracket with the model number. I am a manager at TSC and we get Sears customersball the time buying from us cause sears lies/cheats them.

Yup, it has a model number and a serial number. All of our owner's manuals are from 2011. I asked the guy exactly how we got 2011 owner's manuals if it was purchased in 2004... He said, "sorry, without a receipt, you have to pay" Umm, sorry, bud, but I called sears and asked them about it, since we couldn't find the receipt and they said that they had it on file, so, stop assuming that your customers are all too stupid and lazy to figure your crap out. Ugh!
It's the sears repairman who's telling me that it's 2004.

Date of Manufacture: 2/2011. So, pray tell, how do you buy a machine in 2004 that was manufactured in 2011?!

THANK YOU for telling me about the DOM, I was just looking at the Serial and Model numbers and completely missed the DOM (which is printed directly below the other two numbers, LOL.

I do not shop at sears. They lost me as a customer years ago when they screwed up and refused to fix their mistake. I always pay my credit cards off every month. They claimed I hadn't made a payment. Ok could have gotten lost in the mail or I could have screwed up. Checked with my bank. They had the cleared check right there. Had copies faxed and everything straight from the bank. Took them six months to recognize that I had made the payment and in the meantime they had tried charging me late fees which they refused to correct. I cut my card up and mailed it to them. Have never set foot in a sears since. That's been over 20 years ago. I'm stubborn like that.

That's where that elusive time machine is at! The guy you got the mower from has it and is using it to buy 2011 mowers in the year of 2004! Someone though they saw a sucker bring that mower in is what it came down to.

Well, they'd be losing a longtime customer here. Two tool chests, 90% of the tools inside, a wet vac, motorcycle lift and all the tools on the self... all craftsman.

Get this... the guy won't answer my calls now!

I'd find another repair shop. It's made by AYP (american yard products) if it's a craftsman mower. If it is a engine problem than anyone who is certified to work on that brand engine can fix it under warranty.
