You can be assured that any birds I keep will be BQ/SQ, I do not breed anything I would be embarrassed to exhibit in a show. I'll have to keep an eye out for when you offer the ancona ducksOkay, guys, and please tell me gently if I am asking way too much......
I see offerings that 'look' promising but if they are just the same chicks I can get for 85cents at the feed store than I am not inclined to go to the trouble and incubator space, etc. And, I know this is not for "show" quality stock parents per se as many of the really fun breeds and varieties are not APA anyway. But, like my Ancona ducks and bantam Barnevelders, there is still an ideal to aim for and defines what one would cull from their own program -- assuming they had enough breeding stock to actually be selective. I would like to ask, please note I don't by any means mean demand or require, etc., that if your offering is of high-end type breeder eggs that you be upfront and let us know. It would definitely make me more inclined to jump in try maybe hatch something that I don't have now. If the breeder stock is production or hatchery bred there is nothing wrong with saying so because to someone that might just be the ticket! I just personally prefer exhibition and extreme style in type =:~) Please don't hang me on the cyber noose, I am really just a kitten at all of this.... Thanks.
