Question please, In the swap is an Olive Egger considered okay to post as an offer or is it considered an EE. (no offense if so, I understand) second can I offer d'Uccles even if they haven't shown yet. (their not ready to be offered yet, just asking). I did pick the right place to post these questions right. I always watch all the swaps and would love to participate, but don't think I would be able to use my Olive Eggers. Help me please be a part of the fun

Welcome to the swap, Michele!

For each swap, your first offer must be purebred eggs or paypal, after that any eggs can be offered. The eggs do not have to be show quality, but if they are that may make someone claim them faster. So if your d'Uccles are laying, you can make them your first offer and then offer your OEs as an additional option. Until your d'Uccles start laying, you can always make PP your first offer and then offer your OEs, too. PP usually gets claimed within seconds, so don't be discouraged if no one has time to claim your OEs!

Pictures of your birds and colored eggs are also helpful. Also, your first offer eggs must be available for shipment within a week or two, but eggs for future shipment can be one of the additional options. (You have probably read the previous posts about the cautions on that - if not, I would suggest you go back a page or two and read about the concerns.) I hope this helps.

If you haven't already, you should read the first post in the thread for all the rules, and refer back to it once in awhile in case rules have changed.

I have a question for everyone. I am often lurking on BYC during my breaks at work. As I work midnight shifts, there is not much activity during the wee hours of the morning, so I can do a lot of catching up. I was wondering if it would be helpful (or annoying) if I calculated number of swaps and time of swaps for everyone so they know where they stand each morning. I could post in red those that have 6 or more swaps or are over 20 hours. Something like this (not actual, just an example):

CrazyPetLady: 6 swaps; 14 hours, 22 minutes
BHep: 3 swaps; 8 hours, 6 minutes
KYTinpusher: 4 swaps; 21 hours, 2 minutes

I can't promise to do it every night, but would it be helpful, or annoying?

I think if you have the time it would be very helpful. I know I loose track of how many swaps I've done and it's a pain at times going back through trying to find them.

Are your colors separated, or do they all run together? I would like to see pics of your Mille rooster especially!
