I wouldn't be able to do the secret santa if it was only eggs, that's why I thought it sounded fun, because the weather here is usually pretty cold during the winter (it being in the mountains and all, haha) so I'm excited to see so many of you interested in doing it, too!!

Oh, and yay for more eggs hatching!!!

I also need to be added to the chickens anonymous group...

I love the holidays and having a swap with another crazy chicken person sounds like the best!! My family never believes me when I say I want a new feeder or incubator for Christmas.

I think things like crafts, home made goodies, books etc. (or eggs) sounds great. I WISH I lived where it was cold and snowed a lot in winter. Our friends think we are crazy when we say we are moving NORTH when we retire....

Cute kiddos!!! How old are they? I have boys, they are 7, 4, and 18 months=)

I teach 5th grad at a Private Christian School here in Missouri. I have FINALLY gotten board approval to hatch eggs in my classroom and set up a small brooder so they can watch them grow. The kids are so excited! I was raised on a farm and it never really occurred to me that so many never get to experience the things I have truly taken for granted. My biggest problem now is figuring out what to put in the incubator and what day to put them in so the students can "see" them hatch.
