Hi Highlander

All sounds on course with the gosling rocking the egg and peeping. When did it internally pip and how did you confirm it?

Keeping all my fingers crossed for us all

It pipped internally sometime yesterday. I can only candle at night when it gets dark as I have no blinds in my incubation room so it was only obvious to me last night when I candled.

Thats great news Highlander. I knew our Dewlaps were close and movedthem last night to a still air incubator. Confirmed 2 had internally pipped this morning by listening for the regular 'clicking' noise but no pepping yet so your a little ahead. Like you I prefer to candle at night when its dark.

You should get an external pip sometime today

i did a candle already can see fertile on 2 already not sure on other 2. i have 2 ganders and 2 females now. my ganders are always very busy. so i am hoping they are all fertile. i lost a white female to a red fox on friday. carried her off in board daylight. have been busy trying to trap the fox. this time around i am starting off with the incubator dry this time it has been so rainy here my incubator is running 45-50% dry so no water now at all.

Hi

Thats great news that you know you've got some fertile already. Very sorry to hear about the fox taking the goose

As we live in a wood we have to on the look out all the time. The trouble is the foxes have cubs now and will take bigger risks in daylight to feed their family! I hope you catch the culprit soon.
