Hatching Older Eggs? (Hen and/or Incubator)

I don't seem to have the ability to edit the original post to add this so I'll just post this here rather than start a new thread.
Exactly how a thread/situation should be updated.
Sorry you had so few make it thru......but it was an interesting experiment.
Thank you for starting this and updating it!

Update: Probably my final update since I'll likely forget to add any more after this but egg 2 has hatched. Here are the two little results of my old egg incubation experiment, sorry there is some glare since they were still in the incubator when I took the picture. Egg 1 chick is on the right, 2 on the left.

They look like their Australorp mama and will probably be consistent with her other chicks I've hatched and just be black once they grow up.

Congrats on your 2 new little chickies. The longest I have had a hen stay fertile was 3 weeks. I usually hatch eggs up to 2 weeks old and most hatch.

Update: Since I actually remembered I figured I'd throw a final update here on the two little ones. Both boys, of course. Only thing I noticed was that both of them have the same 1 inside toe on their left foot that is slightly sideways, other than that they're normal boys.

Here is Egg 2 chick who got named Pacer. I sold him about a month ago now.

The Egg 1 chick now named Awnry is quite the handsome boy. I kept him for now but I'm going to try and find him a new flock since the only hens I have are his mom and sisters.
