Have A Predator Problem??

What offends, or rather frustrates me is people who deny something so quickly simply because it does not fit their world view. You are welcome to Google it and come back with clear evidence it is a hoax, but do not dismiss.

Geez, it is not that deep. The idea came off very biased, and I thought I would point that out, not because I disagreed. Nothing to do with fitting into my narrow world view...

No one is trying to claim dear are anything other then herbivores. My cats will eat vegtables, but anyone thinking they will pick a carrot over a piece of meat is nuts. The point of the whole convo was that even herbivore can be a predator. And when people come back at me with I don't believe this, it is biased, without giving some other information, I do get defensive.

I have a eagle problem that's trying to get my 10 week old chicken and my other Three chickens and duckie the 10 week old got bit on the back of her tail almost to her vent but she's ok sh is in the house right Now and looks like it getting a lot better

you would be surprised! I live on 200 acres which is protected by game-lands around the property. The one day a doe got in my pen and was eating the pumpkins and my oldest rooster went in and started to attack it..the doe one with a hoof in the head. I won by a bullet. they can be called predators

now an eagle is a trained expert when it comes to killing birds. is the pen covered?

I am located in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico and have a 2 1/2 acre ranch raising peacocks, turkeys, ducks, geese, guinea
hens and numerous chickens. We have had chickens killed and eaten in the past and presumed it was coyotes because we
hear and see them. I bought traps and they have nearly stopped but the last week we had two chickens killed and only the heads eaten. That is a new thing for me. All of are animals are free range during the day but we have the property fenced completly
with 6 foot chain link fence. In the evening all breeds are housed in their own area. Ducks and geese are together. The chickens are separate from turkeys and peacocks have their own area also. The guinea hens pretty much pick their own area because they fly
where they want. We have a German Shephard and Rottweiller that are loose at night. What do you think might be the predator?

Have you have any chickens killed with just the heads eaten??? We had two this week. I am at a loss of what to do.

those are raccoons they will eat the heads and leave the bodies i dont know why they do this but traps and a motion lite should help
