Have you ever had an type of animal you just did NOT like?

I could certainly live without horses - wish I could give my 2 away.
would never have any type of rodent or bug or reptile as a pet.

Hedgehogs are boring, I had one for two weeks before I rehomed it. I thought I liked birds (parrots), and I communicate with them well, but there to needy, like children. I've rehomed two parakeets a cockatiel and a Sun Conure. I work at a pet store, so I more then get my fill at work, but a parrot will never live with me ever again.

Aquatic turtles need there water changed way to often, and dont do anything, and I love the fact that beardies and other lizards are sociable, well for a lizard, but just to much stinkin work.

I love my crested gecko and my red eye tree frogs, they are fun to watch and don't need any heat here in Texas. ive it has to eat more then three times a week at my house then it eats to much.

My dog keeps me sane, lets me know what time of day it is, and she loves all animals, I could trust her with a 1000 dollar parrot and I can trust her with the chickens, well, except for she enjoys running up to the chickens so they fly off, you can see her laugh, I don't like it. When she gets ahold of one she licks it like a baby.

I didnt like rabbits, but I've been babysitting one for a couple of months now, and he isnt to bad, being potty trained helps.

The chickens roam free, I lock them up at night and make sure they have fresh water, and they do the rest, they don't go towards the road, and eat lots of bugs, so self sufficient for a pet....sigh, I love my chickens.

It would take a lot to get me to outright not like an entire species. There are some animals I couldn't imagine keeping as pets personally, but more because of their difficulty in keeping. Yeah, while I can think of some jerk animals I've known, I still pretty much want one of everything around the house. Kind of like how some of the people I meet are not people I want to meet again, but I still keep humans around. XD Oh wait, I take that back, ticks! No more ticks please. Or those worms that live in your eyeballs.

Goats are a pain. I am one of those people that was given them for free. My pastor at church told me that there used to be a saying in his hometown "if you really hate someone give them a goat." I laughed and wondered it took me one month to figure it out. I was given 2 free wethers that had been dehorned as kids but it didn't take. I wanted to start with a free goat because I wanted to get some to milk but needed to get experience first. They are horrible they eat the chicken coop and ram it with their horns. Thankfully they haven't been able to escape the chain link that is their pen until we finish fencing in the pasture with electric. We haven't even had them a year and some days I want to kill them. The woman that gave them to us called a few months later and wanted to know if we wanted any does so we went and picked out 2. They were so sweet. Completely different. I am so glad we took the chance. Two days after we got the does, the wethers killed one, the woman told us to watch them the first few days and we did. The girls kept to themselves and the boys let them. Well as far as the vet could tell the boys rammed her to death. No clue why they are mean to the remaining girl but she has been here for three months now and she's ok. When we get the electric up we will get more girls but never again a boy. I will pay for breeding services. I wish we could eat the boys or even turn them into dog food.

Chihuahas I hate them. I have one not by choice. Pawned off on us my kids love it. Impossible to completely house train. Lives in the crate when we can't constantly supervise. Not yappy it growls a lot but has never nipped or bit. I would actually like it if I could housetrain the dumb thing. I think the problem with this one is it was trained to pee on puppy pads. Not in my house. I used to be a trainer for service dogs and have worked with my share of animals needing housebreaking but this is horrible.

I detest licking dogs. Especially obnoxious ones that are all over you trying to lick you with their nasty tongues that were just being used to clean their butts moments before while their owners just look and say "look, how cute, Fluffy loves you". Nothing against dogs in general, just detest being slobbered on, especially on my face. Makes me want to puke. Or send my toddler over to wipe her nose on their owners face and say "How cute, My baby loves you". I don't want kisses from anyone but my husband and daughters thank you. You want your dog to kiss you fine, but not me. Yuck! I can deal with yapping, jumping, snarling, snapping, begging, shedding, etc dogs fine, but feel gross forever after being covered in slobber.

Goats. I have 6 now, and won't ever have another. The does are o.k., but my 2 ND wethers are very pushy and bratty. No matter what I'm doing, they are there trying to get in the way. They also butt my smallest pygmy doe a lot------that's why I'm selling them! My other wether is a La Mancha, and he's well mannered.

I also will never have another animal that lives in a cage in my house-------way too much work. I've had mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, ferret, and birds. The easiest to care for has been my giant African rainbow plated lizard----doesn't eat a lot or drink a lot, so doesn't stink (plus he doesn't bark his head off every time someone comes through the door----like 2 of my dogs)!
