Have you seen this before? Head injury shock

I don't think he has brain damage because if he did he'd be falling over a lot. As it is it's like he's in roosting mode so he doesn't want to eat because its like he's roosting. He just wants to sleep and when you put him in his box he tucks his head under his wing and sleeps. It's been a couple of days now and he doesn't seem to be getting worse, if anything better because he is slightly more alert and struggles when picked up. He can stretch a wing without falling over and shake his feathers, walk around but he just doesn't make any sound or eat or drink. I just hope he comes out of it soon :-(
Do what you can to get him hydrated. Can you get some poultry vitamins and water into him then see if you can get him to eat some wet feed?
You may be able to hold him like some do when assisting birds with Wry Neck (video below), if not then consider tubing fluids into him.
Since the Silkies do have a hole in their head, a bump on the head can cause severe injury. I don't know of anything else that can be done but offer supportive care. Sometime an anti-inflammatory prescribed by the vet may help.

Thanks everyone that was all good advice; I got him wrapped in a towel and syringed honey water onto his beak, I put some rescue remedy in and also a couple of tablets of arnica (I read that hypericum is the one to give birds with concussion along with arnica but I don't have that). He drank some, I could hear his insides gurgling so it was obviously going in.

I'm keeping him in the dark now to let him rest and taking him out to give water regularly and offer food. He has been in the house most of the day with his buddy, Alex the silkie hen, he's been walking around a lot but not making much noise or eating/ drinking although he did crow a few times this morning and strut about a bit before going back to sleep.

I think if I keep getting water into him like this he should be fine and once he picks up I think he'll eat. He is improving but obviously dehydration is the biggest problem.

I have a pekin duck I've been treating for a bumble foot, now she has something else going on. She had swelling or looks like in her ankle? She is limping really bad. She is still eating and laying eggs. I don't know how to help herView attachment 1669215 View attachment 1669215

Sounds like he is improving a little!

You might want to start your own thread either here, (look for “Start a New Thread” in the center blue box:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures.10/
Or here:

That way you will get special help and we won’t get confused with the other person.

Do you know what 4 days after the injury he's still not eating or drinking but he is strutting about like he's totally fine and crowing (a lot). I'm still keeping him in and feeding him by putting food and water in his mouth because otherwise he won't eat. His poos are normal but small obviously because I can't get as much down him as he would. TBH I was afraid of force feeding him but I found some good videos on youtube of how to do it and it's easier than I thought. I got the water thing off by getting a 1ml syringe with a needle and filing off the end; the needle is so fine you can put the water in the front of his beak without accidentally squirting it down his throat.
It's like he's forgotten to eat and drink and fine otherwise. I hope he'll snap out of it soon!

I'm glad you found the videos and are able to syringe fluids and food into him.
Does he act like he can see well?
Interesting that it's like he has forgotten how to eat/drink.
