Having this child now reassures me of some things.

When we finally moved here to Indiana (11 yrs last April 1st)
all of mine (6 of them) used to be found EVERYWHERE IN THE APARTMENT asleep.
Pantry, under a pile of clothes
Linen closets, on shelves
Inside bedroom closets
Not in beds, on floors
Other behaviors that other people found hard to tolerate, were ok with me as they weren't harmful to no one.

After years of a very abusive marriage/family life, caused by a messed up family life with my husband/their dad - all 6 children - 2yrs to 12 yrs old, and I, with help from:
Police, Child Protective Services, Family Services, Big Brother/Big Sister and Court:
We finally moved away from him/his way of family life, and started living a stable life.

His behaviors will, at times, boggle your mind - but, with stability, will lessen in time - so, enjoy him, in his and your learning about this new way of living.
You are his stability ball - sounds like you are doing an AOK job so far - and yes, it'll take some time and at times be frustrating for both of you.
Raise him as yours - he desperatly needs a loving adult in his life now.

Well next time speak up!!!! I can take it. Robert is asleep and Sara is out. And I don't blame her for wanting to go out. The pot thing has been nipped in the bud. Yes I eavsdropped. She has FINALLY come to know that she will not get a job while smoking pot. We don't allow anything here in the house that even JOKES about pot, so she has been aware of our feelings all along.

Robert had soooo much fun tric kor treating tonight!!!! He was all smiles. Though he kept telling Sara "no, I hold Debi's hand".... HAHAHA!

Fostering him may put him the system. You may be better off seeing if you can get temporary custody by having the mom sign over the rights.
