"Yes, dear," Amberpool said gently. "You're getting too big for the nursery. You'll soon be apprenticed."

"Hurray!" Hawkkit shouted.

"Hush!" Amberpool whispered. "Even though it's morning doesn't mean that everyone's awake."


Crowflight walked over to the newly piled up fresh-kill pile. He chose a mouse for Amberpool and trotted over to the nursery with it.
