Ravenstar purred, glancing at Rainspark."But..."She raised her tail, silencing everyone."I want to be able to spend time with my kits, not rush everything. I have spoken to StarClan about this."She looked at Rainspark."I am giving up my place as leader. I can get my lives removed at the moonstone, and you, Rainspark, will be the new leader of DawnClan. I wish I could serve my clan as a leader longer, but I know this is the right thing to do."

Rainspark was overflowing with joy, this was the best possible way, in her mind, of taking up DawnClan's leader position. She would much rather have her friend step down as opposed to dying, and now Ravenstar could experience the joy of kits. She smiled and mewed, "Thank you."
