Crowflight held her gaze for a few seconds that felt like moons. Then he mewed, "Thanks."

"Amberpool!" he called for his mate. Amberpool was outside the nursery with Waterfrost as they watched their kits. "Can you come to the medicine den?" he asked the brown tabby. "Nettlewater has herbs for your wounds."
"Sure." Amberpool said as she stood up. "Can you watch the kits?" she asked Waterfrost. When the white she-cat nodded she turned around and walked beside Crowflight with their pelts brushing as they walked to the medicine den.

"You're right, I should." he meowed. Then he raced off to the nursery where Amberpool was.

"Seriously you two", she meowed, as if reading their stares, "We all know Nettlewater is a medicine cat. Anyway, I have cracked pads from the dry dirt, can you treat them?" She meowed impaitently.

"You can go outside now", Sunstream meowed softly. "But wait for Squirrelkit, please!" she called behind them.

Flameclaw rolled his eyes. "If looks could kill, Nettlewater, you'd be dead and burried." He made his way through the herb store. "Here's some coltsfoot Dawnpelt", he mewed, chewingit into a pulp.
