A little bit of fighting amoungst themsevles is ok, just a pecking order but since we have my niece and nephew running around we can't risk human aggression.


Yeah, that's smart. I've never had a human aggressive cockerel (I've had a lot of boys, too!) but if I did he'd be outta here! Dinner. :P I've got lots of little siblings so it's not safe.
 
Although if you keep non aggressive Roosters you chances are greatly decreased as it's part genetic as proven by the fact they bred fighting roosters for for hundreds of years.

Yeah, that's true! I have one roo I should probably get rid of. He can be mean to the other chickens, but I kinda like him, and I don't have as many adult roos to keep the young guys in line as I used to. :/
