Heeeelp! I have 11 ducklings and can't find good homes to save my life!

i have ads in:

neighborhood app site
craigslist (for $$$$ only)
I have poster on local business
Told eeeevery one i come in contact with!!


they are getting bigger and bigger...what do i do! I have pet ducks, ducks i rescue, these are ducks that hatched (neeeeever again) that make a grand total of 28 ducks!

What are your qualifiers for a good home? Are these mixed breed ducklings? If so, how much are you asking for them on Craigslist?

Do you do Facebook? A lot of times there will be a local Facebook poultry buying and selling group. You could see if your area has one.

You might also try posting on your state thread here on BYC if you haven't.

no facebook. yes, i did the state thread. mixed. I am asking $15 ea on Craigslist, everywhere else is free. I am taking it by a case by case basis. I know after having a "real" conversation. No one is just going to text me and pick up my ducks. Biggest concern...they're not getting them as a novelty! Very important they are secured at night.

So for mixed breed ducklings, $15 is very high, which is possibly why you're not getting a lot of interest on craigslist. $5 is more reasonable and should get you more bites, maybe $10 if they're already several weeks old, and you'd still be able to vet the new homes them before selling them.

I know I take good care of my ducks, but if I saw mixed ducklings on Craigslist for $15 each I'd scroll right past without checking it out.

I only asked for money on craigslist...I don’t want money. I figured that Would weed out the unsavory characters

Maybe change your price to $10, or say price negotiable, or something like that.....
You don’t want to weed out the “savory” characters too.
