I've been reading various threads on this site for a little over a year, and I thought I had signed up a while ago, but apparently not!

We live in the PNW, and have a growing flock! Here's what we've got currently:
1 Giant Blue Cochin - Rooster
19 mature/laying hens, including 1 Silver-, 1 Blue-, and 3 Gold-laced Wyandottes, 2 Barnevelders, 2 Easter Eggers, 3 Ameraucanas, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Turken, 1 Red (either a Star or Rhode Island, we're not sure which?), 1 white hen (no idea at all what she is), and 1 dark brown hen (again, no idea what she is, either).
2 little Barred Rocks (only about 6-8 weeks old)
3 little Black Sexlinks (also only 6-8 weeks old)
2 little Broiler chickens (6-8 weeks)
and last, but definitely NOT least, we just hatched 5 little gray puffballs, which are from our existing flock...We know who the daddy is, but NO idea who any of their mothers are!

On the farm, we also get piglets every spring for butchering in the fall, and we have a Pointer-Lab Border Collie mix named Wes. I'm a transplant in the area from Wisconsin, but my boyfriend grew up here (he ended up in WI and when he moved back home, I followed).

I'm on Instagram as @StampinHannah and the chickens are some of my favorite subjects!

G'Day from down under Stampin.Hannah :frowWelcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
