I want to say first off, YES! So glad to hear BYC was able to help you save your sweet Matilda! I've had alot of chickens and ducks saved because of the advice received here, or researched here.

It's so nice to hear that good childhood memories of chicken raising were part of your inspiration to raise them again. Have your grandchildren shown any interest in the flock? Glad the Golden Doodles are mindful of the chickens and protect them!

I am happy to say that from our Grandson at NCST who is studying aerospace engineering right down to our 2nd grader, who loves our chickens, they each have their favorites. Allison, our 9th grader, wants to be a veterinarian.
