Hello, I’m new!

I first got chickens 5 years ago as a teenager. After loosing 3 flocks due to predators (or simply my dogs) I currently have around 35 chickens. The majority of my flock are silkies (bearded and not bearded) then I have a few polish, Easter eggers, light Sussex, Orpington, Brahma, Wyandotte, and an ISA brown counterfeit (lays jumbo green eggs, who knew?).
I enjoy observing and feeding my chickens as well as breeding them.
I own two large dogs (a mutt and a Caucasian shepherd) both initially hunted my hens but now protect them instead.
I initially found BYC by googling different chicken related questions and stumbling upon BYC useful forums written by experienced chicken owners.
I finally decided to join the community to share some of my experience I have gained over the past five years of owning chickens
