Hello N. Carolina!!!

Hi Snugglepup,
I am down in the Jacksonville/Wilmington area. I have a few extra roos that are probably destined for the BBQ, but I don't want to be the one that has to do the work. (I don't eat meat either, so I figure if I am not eating it, I shouldn't have to kill it and clean it) My hubby is getting some info from a friend about a butcher in the area that processes chickens, deer, etc. Once I get the info, I can pass it on to you if you want. From what I have heard, this guy is like a traveling butcher, so might work for you up in Raleigh. Or he might have other butcher friends in your area.

Yeah! I would appreciate it!

You are in Richlands? I sold a drug dog down there last year. If you see him, tell him I said hi.

Hello Folks!

I thought I'd jump right in here. I am in the Statesville area but probably moving somewhere to Claremont soon. I'm totally new to the chickenhood and duckhood. I've 5 little bantams and 2 ducks, but that was just the start of it and would like to see shows etc. I do plan on getting some turkeys and other birds in the future. Who knew this was going to be so addictive.

I joined up on the NCpoultry yahoo group as well so maybe Ill be able to catch up with a few of you folks on here.

I would love to get my chicks locally rather then ship them in the box as well and was having a look at shook hatchery too. Thanks for putting in so much info!

Hey yall!! I live in the Pilot Mountain area. I was raised in a barn and proud of it!! (barn house by the way)

Looking to build up the chicken flock with big sized chicken breeds, and i would LOVE some more silkies, since mine got eaten by some annoying 4 legged unchicken friendly critter. (its gone now, my momma got ahold of it a few weeks ago) I promise a good home to all chickens, they will be spoiled fat and happy!!
