Very sad...I acquired a "frizzle" because she was being picked on and now that I have researched frizzles...I've learned she is actually an extreme frizzle...she is sweet and lovable but she's missing so many feathers…does anyone know if there is anything that can be done to help her at all?... she seems healthy…lays about 5/week... I feel so bad for her she's pitiful looking…I live in central Florida. I've listed pictures of her when I got her in January and now in March...she's about 9 months old...

Not much you can do. She will get her feathers back during the next fall molt, and will start to lose them again as they break and rub off.

I had 2, one was culled young, the second we kept. He spent half the year nearly naked, and died at about 2 years of age. They are a sad chicken to keep unfortunately.

Living in Florida you may need to worry about sunburn, mine got really red during the summer.

Can you try making her a little Tee shirt to wear? She and the others make freak out when they first see it, but they get used to it pretty quickly. A baby shirt might be okay.

I have a frazzled white frizzle and she's practically naked all the time, all though right now she looks quite nice and filled out.
