Help! Air cell’s too small but duckling’s still Alive trying to pip!

Pics
An update! So the air cell for one of the eggs has decreased by a lot:

The other egg however might have died:

I don’t see any movement and the other side looks a bit weird

Not to mention on the other side of the egg, there’s a spot with no veins as if the large vein going towards there has been cut off somehow.
size of the air cell doesnt always indicate development.
I see veins in the second photo, so it's still alive, but keep an eye on it. The veins could dissapear on the next day or two since it is an odd one.
Are the eggs definitely being turned? If you're using an automatic turner, you should mark both sides to ensure its being turned.

I’ve taken the turner out because it’s day 23, should I have kept them turning longer since they might be a delayed hatch? With the one that has the larger air cell I can’t really see inside the egg anymore apart from a bit of veins up top and movement, I don’t know if I should increase humidity at this point or not either as I don’t want the still alive one to become shrink wrapped but I also don’t want the other to die if it is still alive - I think that black dot might be the eye but I’m not sure if that’s something I was supposed to be able to see at this point? And if it is then that means the duckling is the wrong way round.

seeing a little bit of veins at the top and movement sounds very good! The air cell increasing is also a good sign!!
I think I mistook this thread for another, I recall the situation now- I apologise for that!!
Yeah you don't need to turn them, don't worry. 60% will be fine for now, once they externally pip you might want to get it up a little bit. But before pip they wont shrink wrap! So you're fine don't worry.
What black dot do you mean? I doubt its the eye at this point. Sometimes you get dark blotches in the egg, I've heard that can actually be the embryos faeces! Lovely I know. I saw a bunch of dark dots inside my duck egg.
Other times it could be their position, their feet or some other body part against the shell!

That’s alright no worries!
At the bottom left of the picture there’s this black thing - I don’t think it’s the feet because it’s a solid black but hopefully it’s just feaces, actually genuinely surprised they even poop inside! It’s the first I’ve heard that. But if it’s Frances then that should mean the duckling is still alive 🤞

Hi, so I tried increasing the temperature by a whole degrees but the thermometer isn’t moving up at all weirdly enough?

I wouldn't move it up too much, if it suddenly spikes it could hurt the babies.
In my experience, my incubator was very wavering, the temperature would go up and down by about 0.3 degrees, I found it helped when I kept the room temperature as consistent as possible.
Also did you follow WVduckchick's suggestion on making sure the glass thermometer wasnt touching anything?
I agree with Beloved. 30 would be very low and probably wouldn’t have allowed full development, so it is more likely off, but easy to test.

Also, the positioning of an independent thermometer could have implications. If it’s just a plain glass thermometer, be sure it isn’t touching anything and that the tip is elevated off the floor. Maybe tape it to a small plastic cup, or cut an inch slice from a paper towel roll and lay it across it, with the tip out in the open air. It should be around the height of the top of the eggs.
I didn’t have a thermometer handy so I used an ink pen for reference, but something like this.

Yes - since I moved the turner tray out, I cut a toilet roll to size and propped the thermometer up on it, but I can’t seem to get a good reading. Is Vicks hygrometer and thermometer any good? Someone on a different post a while back swore by it saying it was the best out of all the ones they’d tried.

I'm not familiar with the brand, so I cant really comment, but if it has good reviews I would lean towards that one in terms of accuracy. What does that one read currently? And what doesnthe glass one read?
