Help! Air cell’s too small but duckling’s still Alive trying to pip!

When is hatch day?
They’re on day 15 so another 11 days! With my last hatch I had the issue of the air cell not decreasing at all and in the end the duckling died. so which day would be vital in making any adjustments that could save the ducklings life? And is it correct to stop turning three days before the hatch day, at which point the eggs go on lockdown?

26 days? are they call duck eggs? Yes the eggs go into lockdown 3 days before hatch day. That means stop turning the eggs, and bump the humidity up. Do you mean the air cell didnt grow at lockdown?
What was your humidity last time? What is your humidity currently?

Yes they’re call duck eggs, the same as last time! And I’m not really sure what the humidity was or is (the incubator just shows the temperature), but I don’t think it was high because there was never any condensation on the side and it was only one egg that had the air cell issue, the other two were doing fine and reduced enough as they needed on their own. But I was wondering if that happens again, when should I act and how do I handle this?

Thank you! I’ll give the article a read!

The first step should be buying a hygrometer-incubators rarely come with one built in and it's never a good idea to trust the incubators readings anything- a calibrated separate thermometer and a separate calibrated hygrometer are important tools in hatching

I used a simple inexpensive room hygrometer off of amazon and it worked really well for me!

Ordered one yesterday and it should get here today! I also candled yesterday and marked the eggs just to get an idea of where they’re at and I noticed one of the egg’s air cell is relatively smaller and they all look weird - wasn’t able to see inside properly with the other two eggs from before because I used the light from the incubator but phones work so much better!

The meter just arrived! I put it in and the humidity reads 56% and the temperature 38.6 (but on the incubator it’s supposed to be 37.5)

Closed the vents and lowered the temperature to see if I can get the humidity up to 60-70% and temperature to 37.5 (was originally at 89% when I first put the meter in so I opened the incubator a little to let humidity out because I read 60% was the ideal right?)
