HELP black pellet like goo in incubator!

Hi all, please help! Hatched 8 healthy ducklings over the course of the week, 5 today! Opened up the incubator and instead of the usual green yellow ish goo left from hatched eggs there’s one that’s come out black!!! Is my duck ok? Does anyone know what it is?

First poops can happen inside the egg shell, according to my (chick hatching) experience. Also, not usually seen but on occasion. Also if that's not technically inside the shell, it still looks like poop to me.

Staggered hatches are not desirable and should be avoided if possible, by setting them all at the same time.

The only other likely cause I know of would be bacterial growth.. but I would *expect* to see more of a pattern if it were a growth.

Hopefully you will get more feedback. Maybe @Miss Lydia or @WVduckchick can share if their experience is different than mine?? TIA.

That looks like normal first poop to me. They vary in color from light green to dark green/black.
