HELP-- Chicks Pooping Blood

I got some SulMet today, however, I don't want to treat them if they aren't sick. I don't have pictures, but the chicks are running around this afternoon and all the "bloody stool" I see looks OLD, even though a TON of it looked fresh this morning. They are eating normally. Do i go ahead and give a weak dose of SulMet?

May be what you are seeing as "blood" is coral urates or intestinal shedding. Cocci will cause going off feed, fluffed up appearance, lethargy, loss of balance, etc. Since you have Sul-met, you may want to only treat if you start to see more symptoms. Sulfa drugs are harder on the system, but if needed you want to give full dosage.

Thank you. I'm still not sure, so i'm going to keep a close eye on them to make sure, and now I do have a cocci treatment on hand which is a bonus. They seem really healthy and happy right now.
