Help deciding bedding for chicken brooder

The reason I need help is because I live in a poor country and pine chips dont exist here. So I have a question that can I use a mixturue of coco peat, rice husk, a lil bit of sand, and just a bit of rocks and gravel for the bedding?

I hate pine shavings and avoid them at all costs.

Good old dirt works great!

I agree with Kiki I use dirt in my brooders as well.

Yes you can use what you listed. The purpose of bedding is to keep them dry. And that you can change it out. I never keep mine in the brooder more than 2 weeks. I think the more space the better, they get more exercise and fresh air.

Paper towels will also work as bedding for baby chicks
