Okay so Yesterday I was stupid and fed my dog a lot of different table scraps, mac and cheese, chicken, egg, milk. Needless to say he feels awful and is puking up quite a storm. Is there anything I can do to sooth his stomach?

Probably has gastritis/enteritis ("garbage gut")--no food for 24 hrs, water only. After that feed small meals every 4 hrs (like 1 cup) of a very bland food--cooked chicken mixed with plain white rice works well--for about 3 days. Encourage your dog to drink small amounts of water. If puking has resolved, return to normal.

Expect diarrhea in the next 24 hrs as well

At any time if your dog becomes listless, non-responsive seek veterinary help as your dog is probably extremely dehydrated!!!!

yep try to keep some water in him... expect a lot of puking and yep the stinky poo is coming too.

sorry!

and i guess you learned the lesson that the dog needs predictable food?? no scraps - its not worth it!

good luck!

Almost Cooked rice helps for the poops....I also wouldnt feed him for awhile..and then slowly start feeding small amounts of his food.....make sure he has water......if he doesnt improve I'd take him to the vet ....Good Luck....I can just imagine what your going through....UGH !

Thanx a lot! I was just worried that I might have to take him to the Vet or if things will resolve themselves. He looks like he feels so miserable! I feel awful for feeding him all that stuff

I read that you can feed them baby food as well as rice and chicken, do you think that is a good idea.

A 40lb dog can have 1 tea spoon of Pepto

If you have a medicine syringe that you would use with a child to take liquid meds, you know the ones that come in 1 teaspoon and 2 teaspoon sizes, those are great for givin the dog Pepto cause you slowly put it into his cheek and he will swallow

Brown rice and broiled/steamed chicken. The pumpkin is good for any kind of constipation, which it doesn't sound like he has!!!
Plain yogurt with active cultures helps

With those symptoms I would be concerned about pancreatitis, which is extremely painful, and can be deadly if not treated.

I agree with no food.

And a vet trip.
